Okay so this took quite a while :p but after the crazyness (in a good way) that was Bullet hell jam 2021, i worked on this update to the game, adressing some of the issues brought by feedback, and polishing/adding some features i wanted to have but couldn't get into the game for the jam version.
There's quite a few here so in order to not make too much of a wall of text on the devlog i have the full changelog below directly.

Post jam Update 01 Changelog :
- Added visual effects for hit feedback on player, enemies and bosses
- Added sound effects for hit feedback on player,enemies and bosses
- Added visual effects for muzzle flash and thrusters
- Added flame particles on player ships when hull damage reaches critical (1hp)
- Updated character portraits
- Fixed buggy shot pattern for small player ship
- Changed powerup shot pattern for large player ship
- Limited turret max angle for large player ship's powerup turret shot
- Augmented shield charge delay for small and medium player ships
- Changed enemy bullet color/animation for better visibility
