My entry for Gogodot jam 2, theme : Energy source

Tldr :

Each level has locked doors, you must find batteries and charge them to open these doors,  fight the enemies along the way, and reach the exit, you can use your sword, jump and walljump off a single wall. (Fullscreen option is available)

Story (sorta...) :

On a distant planet, an experiment in nano technology gone wrong has set loose an army of dangerous robots, it has been years and most cities have been evacuated, not all is lost however, a small group of resistance formed to fight back and salvaged a few prototype power armors and energy blades to stand a fighting chance against the bots and regain control, you (the player) are one of them.

You must navigate among the deserted city, security doors have been shut close and in order to progress must be opened by manual override of their backup generetor, these backups use batteries. You should be able to find a few out there, however you'll need to locate an energy source to charge them.

Good Luck !

Nice game. Although the controls are difficult for me to use. Also I didn't really understand where to go. Other than that good job. Keep up the good work.

Yeah the game’s in a bit of a rough state, jams be jams. I was trying a bunch of new stuff when i did this one so i might have gone a bit overboard with the enemy respawn rate, wonky walljump and rapid saber slash. Hopefully i’ve improved a bit on my newer stuff, even if i still make a bit confusing level designs :p

Glad you still liked it though, thanks for trying it out and leaving a comment :)

Nice game! Don't forget to upload it as well to gotm.io. All GoGodotJam 2 games uploaded there will get $5 extra for the event's fundraiser.

Thanks :)

I'll see if i can make it, if i get another update ready before the deadline, cause i just pushed one just before seeing your comment sorry :(
