Chaos Squad New Weapon Overheat Mechanic
Ok so another small update with a new gameplay mechanic to balance weapons out a bit more, from feedback suggestions ^_^
The weapons will now all generate heat indicated by a new Bar in the UI (as seen in screenshot) the bar will dynamically appear when firing and hide when your weapon temperature drops to 0
Your weapon will cooldown automatically whenever you release the trigger, however if you go full auto and allow the heat level to max out you won’t be able to fire untill the weapon’s complete cooldown or you pick up another weapon
This will add slightly more challenge to the combat as you can no longer spray unlimited bullets forever :p
I’ve also made a few more adjustments that i’ll detail in the changelog, no new maps yet as i’ll have to think this through for what kind of levels i’d want to make, plus accounting for feedback of course (i’ll try my best at least ^^)

- Implemented brand new weapon overheat system to all player weapons complete with necessary UI info on the hud
- Added new muzzleflash textures to add more variations to weapons
- Adjusted the zoom level for all “small” scoped weapons as the initial level was almost identical to the regular view
- Swapped around a few weapon pickups in level 3 to let players acquire the beam canon and minigun earlier
